AGRIST株式会社（本社：宮崎県児湯郡新富町、代表取締役CEO：斎藤潤一、秦裕貴、以下「当社」）は、2025年7月23日（水）にシンガポールで開催された世界最大級のAIカンファレンス「Fortune Brainstorm AI」において「From Lab To Table: Reinventing The Future Of Food（ラボから食卓へ：食の未来を再構築する）」セッションで当社代表の斎藤が登壇したことをお知らせします。当社と「Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab」 で共同開発したAI技術「AGRIST Ai」を世界に向けて披露し、グローバルな食料安全保障問題解決への貢献を表明いたしました。

背景
AGRISTとMicrosoftの協業は2021年、スタートアップ支援プログラム「Microsoft for Startups」への採択から始まりました。2024年に世界で 6 拠点目となるイノベーションを創出する「Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab」が神戸に開設され、当社エンジニアとMicrosoft社が連携して開発を継続し、Microsoftの「Copilot」を活用してAzure上で農場から収集されたリアルタイムデータを解析し、農作物の収量を予測するAI「AGRIST Ai」を開発しました。「AGRIST Ai」を活用することで収量予測が容易になり、反収あたり28.6％以上の収益増加を見込むことが可能となります。

現在、世界人口増加により2050年までに70％の食料増産が必要とされる中、気候変動と労働力不足が深刻化しています。特に日本では農業従事者が年間8万人減少し、平均年齢68歳という危機的状況にあります。AGRISTがMicrosoftと共同開発したAI技術は、この世界規模の課題に対する確実な解決策として期待されています。

Microsoftとの共同開発「AGRIST Ai」 について
「AGRIST Ai」は、Microsoft CopilotとAzure技術を活用した収量予測AIシステムです。従来の静的な予測モデルとは根本的に異なり、農場環境の変化に応じて自動的に学習・進化するAIとして設計されています。「AGRIST Ai」を活用することで収量予測が容易になり、反収あたり28.6％以上の収益増加を見込むことが可能となります。これにより、農業生産者は収穫量を事前に正確に把握でき、無駄のない計画的な生産・流通が可能となりました。

今後の展開
AGRISTは、Microsoftとの連携を強化し、以下の取り組みを推進してまいります。
- プロダクト開発：「Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab」でのプロジェクトを拡大し、2025年内に「AGRIST Ai」の多品目対応版をリリースします。これにより、現行のピーマン・きゅうり特化型から、トマト、なす、いちごなどの主要園芸作物へと対応範囲を拡大してまいります。
- 海外展開：シンガポール政府が推進する「30 by 30」イニシアチブへの技術協力に向けた協議や、Microsoft Azureのグローバルインフラを活用し、各国で農業データを安全に共有できる多国間データ連携システムの構築を目指します。この基盤を通じて、地域に最適化されたAIモデルの開発を加速してまいります。
- 長期ビジョン：2026年からは組織体制を強化し、Microsoftのグローバルネットワークを最大限に活用した本格的な国際展開を推進します。特に東南アジア、中東、アフリカ地域を重点市場として、現地のMicrosoft拠点と連携し、技術導入支援を実施してまいります。
これらの取り組みにより、2030年までに「AGRIST Ai」を世界20カ国以上で展開し、グローバルな農業生産性向上に貢献することで、世界の食料問題解決に確実な一歩を踏み出してまいります。

Background
AGRIST and Microsoft’s collaboration started in 2021 with AGRIST’s selection for the "Microsoft for Startups" program. This partnership granted access to cutting-edge AI technologies, including Microsoft Azure and Copilot, which propelled significant advancements in the application of AI in agriculture.
Since 2024, development has been accelerated in close collaboration with Microsoft engineers at the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab Kobe, the only such facility in Asia. Utilizing a sprint-format approach at the lab, AGRIST successfully created its "Evolving AI" technology-a revolutionary system that surpasses conventional AI limitations by automatically learning from real-time farm data to continuously enhance its prediction accuracy.
This co-developed technology is a definitive answer to a global food crisis. By 2050, the world’s population will demand 70% more food, while climate change and labor shortages continue to escalate. In Japan, the agricultural workforce is declining by 80,000 people annually and has an average age of 68, creating a critical situation. This AI technology is poised to provide a solution to these pressing challenges.

Future Prospects
AGRIST will deepen its strategic partnership with Microsoft to pursue the following initiatives:
Multi-crop "AGRIST Ai" Release in 2025: We plan to expand our development projects at the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab Kobe to release a multi-crop version of "AGRIST Ai." This will expand its capabilities from the current pepper and cucumber-specialized version to include major horticultural crops like tomatoes, eggplants, and strawberries.
International Data Collaboration: Following interest from our presentation, we are considering technical cooperation with Singapore's "30 by 30" initiative. We plan to build a multinational data collaboration system using Microsoft Azure’s global infrastructure. This will allow us to develop AI models optimized for specific regions while securely sharing agricultural data across borders.
Global Expansion in 2026: We will establish a dedicated overseas expansion team in 2026 to begin full-scale international development. By leveraging Microsoft's global network, we will provide technical deployment support in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, directly contributing to global food security.
Through these efforts, our goal is to deploy "AGRIST Ai" in over 20 countries worldwide by 2030, significantly improving global agricultural productivity. We are confident that our "Evolving AI" technology, realized through our collaboration with Microsoft, will be a definitive solution to the world's food challenges.
